RENTAL TERMS
Z.H. Rentals booking & rental terms
1. Reservation and confirmation
Submitting the website form creates a reservation request. The requested vehicle is not finally reserved until Z.H. Rentals confirms the booking. The daily rate used by the website is loaded from the live fleet record rather than hard-coded into this agreement.
2. Rental period and extensions
The rental begins and ends at the dates/times recorded for the confirmed booking. Extensions must be requested and approved in advance and remain subject to vehicle availability and the rate applicable to the extended period.
3. Driver documentation and authorized drivers
The renter and each approved additional driver must provide valid original identification and national driving-licence documentation and satisfy the final driver-eligibility policy. Only drivers approved on the rental record may operate the vehicle. The current system does not request a local visitor-driving-permit number.
4. Rates, levy and security deposit
The booking estimate shows rental charges and the car-rental levy separately. The current security-deposit policy is BBD $500 at the commencement of the rental unless Z.H. Rentals agrees otherwise. The security deposit is tracked separately from the rental price and may be released after the vehicle is returned, inspected and any authorized deductions are settled.

6. Fuel, cleanliness and smoking
The fuel policy is full-to-full. The renter should return the vehicle in a reasonably clean condition consistent with normal use. Smoking is prohibited in Z.H. Rentals vehicles.
7. Permitted use and restrictions
- Only the renter and approved additional drivers may drive the vehicle.
- The vehicle must remain in Barbados and must not be sub-rented or transferred to an unauthorized third party.
- The vehicle must not be used for ride-share/taxi/commercial carriage, racing, speed testing, towing, reckless/off-road driving, illegal activity, hazardous-material transport, or knowingly driven into flood/high-tide hazards.
- Driving on beaches, sugarcane fields and other unsuitable unpaved areas is prohibited unless Z.H. Rentals expressly authorizes otherwise.
8. Traffic violations
The renter is responsible for traffic violations, parking fines and other penalties incurred during the rental, together with any administration fee that is validly included in the final signed agreement.
9. Insurance, damage and CDW
Insurance coverage, renter liability, deductibles and any Collision Damage Waiver or protection plan are governed by the terms presented for the specific rental. Protection/CDW is offered only when the applicable production protection terms have been enabled for customer use.
10. Accidents, damage and theft
The renter must notify Z.H. Rentals and the appropriate police/emergency authorities promptly, avoid admitting liability, and provide relevant third-party/witness details where safe to do so. The final agreement may contain more detailed incident procedures.
11. Digital condition reports
Z.H. Rentals may record mileage, fuel level, vehicle condition, damage notes and photographs at handover and return. These records form part of the operational rental file and can be used to support vehicle-condition and charge decisions.
12. Customer documents and rental records
The customer portal may collect nationality, passport/ID details, national driving-licence details, additional-driver information and supporting document images. Access to the admin area is restricted. The current website privacy policy is available at /privacy.
13. Electronic agreement acknowledgement
The platform can generate a booking-specific agreement, record customer electronic acceptance and record final handoff signing. The executed agreement remains part of the rental record.
14. Payment, cancellation and refund policy
The current website payment and cancellation/refund policy applies the schedule published at /policies. New bookings may designate a disclosed reservation/administration amount within the existing rental/protection price at the configured amount or rate shown before booking submission. It is already included in the quoted price, does not increase the customer total, applies regardless of payment method, and is normally non-refundable after confirmation for customer-initiated cancellations. Z.H. Rentals cancellation, duplicate/payment error and other required full-refund cases remain eligible for a full refund.
15. Final agreement controls
The booking website terms support the reservation process but do not replace the booking-specific Vehicle Rental Agreement. If there is a conflict, the final executed agreement for the confirmed booking governs.
